Chapter 1 - THE PLAN
I'm planning my reunion with France which begins in September and ends in October 2016. It's been over 10 years since I last was in Europe. This trip is especially important because I am now older and this may be my last big trip. Every aspect of this trip has been thought out over and over again. Why? I'll explain.
My trip begins in London. What an exciting start; I've never been to London. I expect to take one of those buses on a trip around London to see all the highlights. I will visit the National Gallery on Trafalger Square where I can experience some of the greatest western artwork in the World. It's free admission and open each day at 10 am. The rest of the details I have not worked out yet. Since I cannot easily walk long distances anymore, I will have to rely upon taxi or uber rides. But, I'll fill you in later.
Next, I have a train ticket purchased to go to Bath which is about 2-1/2 hours west of London. I expect to take in some of the lovely and picturesque countryside and villages of the Cotswolds. Also, I plan to see Stonehenge: why not?
From Cotswold I will journey to the coast to catch a ferry to France. More on this segment later.
